The capital city of England was mainly founded by Romans, who left many of their castles and museums up till the present moment. These buildings are opened free for the public to visit. The British Museum in Bloomsbury is the oldest of these museums as it was founded in 1753.
This museum used to have millions of artifacts from different spots around the world. Another one is the National Portrait Gallery which is the home for figures from the British history since the second half of the 19th century. Different sights are still to be enumerated in the following list.

4 Tate Modern
Formerly a power station, the Tate Modern is located over the Thames banks. The building offers you different works of art from Picasso, Bonnard, Dali, Pollock, and Bourgeois.
3 Natural History Museum
Famous worldwide and even featured in different movies, the Natural History Museum exhibits such a big collection of animals that could only be described in superlative adjectives. The biggest dinosaur is in the middle of the exhibition, other animal models include the blue whales, and spiders forty million years of age!
2 National Gallery
In Trafalgar Square, London’s national Gallery takes place. The gallery is home for works of art as old as 1200s. Works of great artists like Van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, and Titan are absolutely displayed.
1 British Museum
The British Museum was built in the year 1753 in order to exhibit the artifacts human beings made for two million years of age. In just one big round inside the museum you will cross ages visiting the Egyptian mummies and Parthenon all under one roof!
