Christ the Redeemer is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ which is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was built between 1922 and 1931 by the French sculptor Paul Landowski and the Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa. It is 30 meters tall and weighs 635 tons.
