Abdel Fattah el-Sisi
1. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi
Do you know him? He is the current President of Egypt since June 2014. He is widely considered as one of the most influential leaders in the whole world especially at the present time. Before being the president of Egypt, Sisi was the Minister of Defense and he played an important role in overthrowing President Mohammed Morsi, who failed to achieve the goals of the January 25 Revolution making people protest against him in the streets asking him to immediately resign.
The new President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi does his best to solve the problems from which the country suffers especially the bad economic conditions. There are several actions that are taken by the President to overcome the serious problems in the country such as increasing the prices of fuel and food to lower the subsidies on energy in addition to foodstuffs. As a matter of fact, if another president did the same things, he would be overthrown quickly.
The president’s policy is chiefly based on honesty and telling his people about everything going on in the country and the problems that need to be quickly handled. This encourages the Egyptian people to take part in solving these problems and prevents them from asking the government to increase their salaries and other demands that were asked before.
There are still some people who are against President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, but the majority of the Egyptian people who live in Egypt and outside it are with him. President el-Sisi is known for his strong character; however he is extremely quiet especially during delivering speeches and this is why he is capable of influencing most of the Egyptian people particularly women.
