You missed Kaylee Greer of Dog Breath Photography – she is AMAZING!
agreed!!
You guys missed an amazing photographer! You should check out Dog Breath Photography!
He doesn’t have the following these all do, but you have to check out Shep over at the Puptrait Studio. I don’t know if it’s because he’s in Baltimore, but that guy is absolutely crushing it and still somehow flying under everyone’s radar.
we also forgot – Rachael Hale Mckenna – http://www.rachaelmckenna.com/
Well, you can’t please everyone. Not even the people who made the top ten. Illona Haus (#6) was found on Facebook complaining that she MADE the list.
She said: “this kind of stuff, to me, is so wrong. WHO is deciding these things? just someone with too much time on their hands to blog (although it’s clear from the site that they’re making a lot through advertising). what exactly is the criteria? and isn’t art subjective and “best” something that is a personal preference? while there is certainly talent on this list, i know of many other pet photographers whose work rocks, whose work is FAR more skilled and experienced and creative than some of the photogs on this “top 10″ list”
You want to talk about too much time on their hands, she went on to complain about a comment made on here by yuraccy and how yuraccy’s “behavior should be outted” on places like Dog Talk and Hair of the Dog. Instead of leaving it at that, she makes it her mission to “uncover” yuraccy’s identity, not just once, but multiple times. Now who has too much time on their hands? Especially when you’re on Facebook complaining about how much time you DON’T have. Well maybe if you didn’t waste so much of it worrying about what other people say and who they are. Even though you claim you don’t, clearly you do.
And lets not forget the hate she spews for the otherwise highly regarded PPA: “as for PPA … don’t get me started on what a horrible organization that is. i also do not understand the whole movement to having photos judged by some organization like this for merits and awards. i just don’t get it.”
You want to know what I don’t get? I don’t get Illona’s appeal. Sure she takes good pictures, but her personality alone is enough to make you vomit. She tries to play the sweet and innocent card, but every once in a while her true colors bleed through. Sour, rotten, vile, disgusting, cold, heartless, witch.
Well, maybe she’s jealous that she didn’t get number one, so she feels if she’s not considered number one, that nobody should be either. She refers to herself as the best all the time, I don’t get what her problem is when someone else does it. Oh wait, she sixth best, that’s her problem! Take it as flattery and move on, Witch. I think she’s got a severe case of bitter old woman syndrome.
Regarding her PPA comment, I do recall a time when she was dealing with a plagiarism case and needed to contact the PPA for something. So they’re okay when she needs them, just not any time else? Kinda like Apple. She hated Windows and for the better part of a year, yearned for an Apple. Then her wife fixes hers and all of a sudden everyone who owns a mac is “drunk on Apple flavored kool-aid” but she owns an iPad and an iPhone 6Plus. ALL made by Apple. Again, only good when convenient for her. I can’t help but laugh whenever she gets a virus. Dumb hag. Oh, and Canon. Every time something would happen to one of her cameras she would say, “Way to go all Canon on me.” But then Canon dangled a few freebies in front of her face and followed them like a lost puppy – hook line and sinker. And only because they have more megapixels than Nikon. What a joke!
And she seriously wonders why people don’t like her? Get off your soap box, come back down to earth and try and act less like a perfect god and more like a person. She’s always quick to point out other people’s flaws but never her own. Like dog owners with ill-mannered dogs, but heaven forbid anyone go near her dog-aggressive dog.
Kaylee is my idol… Nobody takes a photo of a dog quite like she does! A very obvious omission from this list!
You also missed the nested. Its a one man company right now and he is amazing!
