These have not joked professions, nor are they one-off professions. These are actual jobs and actual career paths that not only exist on a fairly wide scale, but that also pay very well. The jobs may not be as commonly available as fast-food workers, but if you are willing to move or travel, you can find a job in one of these professions if you have the right qualifications.

If you are a certified therapist, you can work in an office and talk to people or work in a clinic to help move and walk again. Or, if you are also a keen horse rider, you can help people move, adjust, grow, mature, and evolve with the aid of horses. A hippotherapist offers real therapy through using horses.

Better known as security testers, the game aims to break into software and networks and then tell the owners how you did it so that they can fix the security problem. Counter-hacking is big business in developed countries.
3 Periodontist
A periodontist is a qualified dentist specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease. They are also specialists in the placement, maintenance, and repair of dental implants.
4 Voice Over Artists
The upsurge in YouTube’s popularity has led to an expansion in demand for voiceover artists. Robots do not do all those narrated top-ten videos! Plus, the popularity of audiobooks is also increasing the demand for voiceover artists. One of the weird things is that being a voiceover artist is very difficult. So try reading a page of a book while recording yourself. The sheer number of mistakes you make and poor-quality sound segments are stunning. Do not go into this profession if you are not prepared to spend many hours practicing.
5 Dating Profile Respondent
Dating sites have been using chatbots for years, but social media has helped expose them, like getting the other person to say “Potato” if they are real and the chatbot never saying “Potato.” They are also known as scam bots. That is why paid dating sites now hire writers to lead their users with flirty back-and-forth messages because it keeps people subscribed. Given that the job is 24/7, you can earn a fair amount if you put the hours in.
6 Braille Proofreader
This is one of those jobs that exist, but you don’t think about it until somebody says it. Of course, we need braille proofreaders, and there is plenty of money to be had in this profession if you have the qualifications.
7 Dinkey Operator
A Dinkey operator must operate and control Dinkey engines to transport and shunt cars at industrial or mine sites. They may work flatcars equipped with derricks or rail cars to transport personnel or equipment. They also provide assistance when rails and ties are being installed or repaired. The barriers to entry are pretty low (high school diploma), but the amount of training needed is why this job pays so well.
8 A Private Investigator
Get a private investigator in for a real crime, and you flush away any chance of getting a conviction. But, if you want a photo of your spouse cheating so you can get an excellent settlement in the divorce, then hire a private investigator. The amount people are willing to pay can be very lucrative.
9 An Undertaker
It is probably not the job you wanted when you left school, but the potential earnings are enormous. Life insurance pays whatever you ask, so funeral homes and graveyard plots make an absolute fortune. Also, this is one of the many industry sectors dominated by women where their income is typically far higher than that of their male counterparts for doing the same job. So the prevailing belief is that people prefer 30+-year-old women or significantly older men to handle their funerary needs.
10 Master of Analytics
The world now operates on big data. Massive amounts of data are collected and processed through programs that make decisions and create insights based on what is fed into it. An analytics master figures out if the programs are working correctly and then figures out if the insights the programs spit out are insightful. It is a very math-heavy and logic-heavy profession, but masters of analytics are needed more and more. With so few qualified people, big companies are willing to pay huge salaries to those who consider themselves masters of analytics.
